MEMBERS
The main aims of our club are:
To promote the interests of the Japanese Shiba Inu and it’s enthusiasts to promote knowledge and understanding of the breed, throughout the United Kingdom.
To encourage participation in and organise activities amongst Japanese Shiba Inu owners and enthusiasts, including breed specific shows, educational seminars and social events as well as encouraging the involvement of young people in the breed.
To promote the health and welfare of the Japanese Shiba Inu through ethical breeding and ownership practices.
We welcome likeminded new members to join our club. Membership runs from 1st January each year.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES:
Single: One named individual, full voting rights after twelve months of membership acceptance
Joint: Two named individuals at same address, full voting rights (per individual) after twelve months of membership acceptance
Overseas: One named individual, full voting rights after twelve months of membership acceptance. Individual to live out with the United Kingdom
Junior: One named individual under 16 years, no voting rights. Junior members require a fully paid up adult member. Upon reaching 16 years old, the junior member may be tranferred to Single membership with payment of appropriate fee.

Points are collected from breed or AV classes at Open Shows: 1st = 3 points, 2nd = 2 points, 3rd 1 point
Points collected from breed classes at Championship Shows: 1st = 5 points, 2nd = 4 points, 3rd = 3 points, 4th = 2 points, 5th = 1 point
Points collected per entry are for one ‘team’. A team is defined as one child with one dog.
Alternative ‘team’ may be submitted as a separate entry.

Handler and Owner of dog must be a fully paid up member of Japanese Shiba Inu Club of Great Britain

Special Beginner is defined as owner, handler or dog not having won a CC or RCC or equivalent award that contributes towards the title of Champion in any breed.
Points are collected at Championship shows from Special Beginners breed classes.
Points awarded: Best Special Beginner in Breed = 5 points, 1st = 3 points, 2nd = 2 points, 3rd = 1 point
