Judges Critique

I was delighted to be invited to judge this lovely breed at their Ch show. There was an enthusiastic and friendly atmosphere at a well run show in an excellent venue. My thanks to my efficient stewards who kept me on track. In spite of the low entry I was pleased with my major winners, and the quality of the youngsters bodes well for the future. A word to those who stayed away, this was the major event in your club year and should have had your support, whoever the judge might be, for the development of the breed.

Class 1 MPD 3entries 0abs

1. Bryans SHIOMARU RAION AT MARILOUVALE (IMP) Lovely shape and proportion, sound on the move, sweet Shiba head and expression, good colour, has a bright future, Best Puppy.

2. Behan TARO SIDZUKA AT TIBIHA(IMP) Another promising puppy, close in quality to 1st

1. Dunhill-Hall VORMUND CROUCHING TIGER. Quality youngster , good confirmation, lovely colour and in nice condition, moved well, needs to “show off” a bit more.

1. Behan TIBIHA IM A CONKARAH. Cobby b/t , well put together and sound, had more Shiba type than 2 , both were blowing their coats.

2. Mothersdale & Smeaton AKAI HANA KICHIRO(IMP) more rangey type than 1, still has a lot to like.

1. Roskell KEN GO SHUN'YOU KENSHA(IMP) sound young dog with typical shiba head and expression, moved with purpose, good coat and colour, correct shape and proportion.

1. Mothersdale & Smeaton AKAI HANA KICHIRO (IMP)

2. VORMUND LAST SAMURAI. Moved and showed well, lacked condition.

Class 6 MLD 3entries 0abs

1. Roskell RAHIMA KINGSMILL, very smart, cobby red dog, moved soundly with purpose well proportioned, good head.

2. Shutt KAGEMASA GO RYUUKYUU URUMA (IMP) lots of typical shiba points moved well, just preferred cobbyness of 1st.

1. May BURWEN I AM BEE' LZEBUB AT AYUPDUCK. Lovely shiba shape, well constructed red with lovel head and expression, correctly placed ears and lovely neck moved soundly. Res CC

2. Roskell & Dunhill-Hall TAPENA JUROU, lots to like, sound moved well good coat and condition, just preferred overall shape of 1.

3. Ritchie DUNDALKS LUDO BAGMAN.

1. Watson CALICELESTI CASANOVA ShCM. Good overall shape, typical head and expression, in sound condition, moved well.

2. Craig & Jones ALMOLKA DENNIS THE MENACE, pushed 1st hard for top spot, lovely shape, good head, moved and showed well.

1.Greenwood HOSHIKO DREAM WITH MELAVES . Good colour, typical in head, well proportioned, needed to tighten up movement.

1. Dunhill-Hall CH. KAGA NO SHOUJI GO SAPPORO KAGASOU VORMUND (IMP), this dog is a superb example of the breed, lovely colour, excellent conformation correct head and expression with well placed ears and arched neck, sound on the move and well balanced throughout. Had no option but to award him Dog CC and BIS.

1. Watson CELICELESTI REAPERMAN headed a good class of vets, carrying age well, nice type with pretty head, moved and showed well. Best Veteran

1. Curtis & Morgan JAIDEV STRIKE A POSE another quality youngster, lovely outline standing and moving, good colour, nice condition and moved well. Best Bitch Puppy & Res Best Puppy.

2. Dunhill-Hall VORMUND BLACK WIDOW again a classic shape, moved well, plenty of quality, just preferred size of 1st.
