 Judges Critique

Thank you to the officers and committee for voting and giving me the honour to judge this prestigious Breed club show for one of my favourite breeds. I had looked forward to judging this show for some time and the standard of dogs on the day didn’t let me down. I had a brilliant both on paper and attended, sadly some coats were changing but coat is the icing on the cake. Handling and presentation on the whole was very good. Some hard decisions on the day which made for an excellent day judging from my point of view, and some quality youngsters emerging which always stands a breed in good stead. This club show always has a lovely atmosphere and some super gifts for the people winners, and congratulations must go to the hard-working committee.

JD (1) 1 Logan’s Miamilady Kenia Bear Ch J HR, Gold JW18, Split JW18. 13 months old Excellent shape stood with a good rear. Correct chest. Very attractive head with good eye shape and colour. Correct ear shape and set. Well presented and handled. Moves well when settled. Loads to like. Played up in the challenge, but I’m sure he has a big future

YD (1) 1 Dunhill-Hall’s Ch Vormund The Real Slim Shady. 17 months old red male. Wow. Striking dog that catches the eye as soon as he walks in the ring. Upon inspection he’s an impressive dog not only to look at but also on the table. Makes an excellent shape stood. Lovely movement. Most attractive masculine head with perfect eye shape and colour. Excellent top line and tail set. Pleased to award him the Dog CC and BIS

PGD (2) 1 Behan’s Genghis Khan Rides Again for Tiblha. 3 year old Black & Tan. Good shape stood. Good front and rear. Good top line and tail set. Good front shoulder placement which creates his correct front. Masculine head. Okay eye shape, would prefer a higher ear set. Needs to settle on the move, Well handled. 2nd Broadhurst’s Hokkaido Kioshi Kei. 2 year old Sesame. Correct length to height ratio. Good top line and tail set. Good rear angulation. Okay head type. Good ear set when he uses them to his advantage. Well handled. Better mover than 1.

Mid LD (1) 1 Mothersdale’s Shikashino Black Roxs at Jarshimar. 6 year old red male. Good shape in profile when stood. Good top line and tail set. Lovely side gait. Moves wide in front movement. Good rear angulation. Well off for bone. Okay feet. Well handled. Needs to show himself off a bit more.

LD (3) 1 Dunhill-Hall’s Vormund The Next Episode. 17 months old. Lovely shape stood. Excellent top line and tail set. Masculine head. Excellent eye shape and colour. Beautiful ear set. Sadly, left his jacket at home. Excellent side gait. When he settled. Well-handled and presented. Well off for bone with excellent feet. Lots to like and just needs to mature. RDCC litter brother to DCC winner 2 Watson’s Calicelesti Reaperman. 6 year old White Male. Okay shape stood. Good top line and tail set. Another to sadly leave his jacket at home. Masculine head with an excellent ear set. Correct pigment for his colour. Good bite. Moved okay. Well-handled and presented. 3 Mothersdale’s Shikashino Black Roxs at Jarshimar

OD (6) 1 Dunhill-Hall’s Kaga No Shouji Go Kagasou Vormund (Imp). 2 year Red Male. Lovely shape with an excellent top line and tail set. Beautiful head with the most delightful eye shape and colour. Excellent ear shape and set. Okay movement. Good pigment. Well-handled and presented. Lots to like. 2 Bryans Marilouvale Mischief Maker. 3 year old Red. Lovely shape both stood and on the move. Beautiful head. Excellent eye shape and colour. Good ear shape and set. Good front and rear. Well-handled and presented. Moved well. Lots to like. 3 Cooper & Dunhill-Hall’s Vormund Heath Cliff

O Sesame D (1) 1 Dube’s CAN GCH/ Ukr Ch Benjiro Etsuko Destini Gift. 5 year old Sesame. Very good shape stood. Excellent top line and tail set. Good chest and front. Good head type and eye shape. VD (2) 1 Logan’s Ch/Ir Ch Rynard Flash Gordon from Miamilady ShCM Gold W18. 9 year old Red Male who is still showing his quality. Good shape stood and on the move. Good correct front. Excellent coat and presentation. Good head. Excellent eye shape. Well handled. Lots to like. Best Veteran in Show 2 Marriott’s Hoshiko Dream with Melaves

MPB (2) Bryan’s Marilouvale Flashdance. 6 months Black & Tan. What a lovely baby. She melts you with her expression. Excellent eye shape and ear set. Beautiful Sidegait. Just needs to settle in front. Carrying a tad too much weight on the day. Patiently handled by her talented young handler. Excellent feet. Sure, to have a bright future. BPB. Best Puppy in Show 2 Bannister’s Otohime Go Ino Daikakusou (Imp ITA). 8 months old Sesame Bitch. Very raw baby but lots of quality. Longer in shape. Good top line and tail set. Good front and rear. Okay eye shape and colour. Excellent pigment. Patiently handled. Just needs to mature.

PB (2) 1 Bryan’s Marilouvale Flashdance. 2 Needs & Woolmer’s Nizu Saijitsu. 9 months old Red Bitch. Good shape stood. Moved okay. Good top line and tail set. Correct chest. Attractive head. Good eye shape and colour. Lots to like. Just needs to mature.

JB (2) 1 Mothersdale’s Xpress Your Self Incipita Vita with Amivike (Imp). 14 months old Red Bitch. Lovely shape stood. Excellent top line and tail set. Correct front. Attractive head. Well off for bone. Good feet. Good pigment. Needs to settle on the move. Lots to like 2 Broadhurst’s Hokkaido Okina Tsuyoi Yuki. 15 months old Red Bitch. Okay shape. Straight in front. Good top line and tail set. Okay feet. Good correct movement. Good eye shape and colour. Good ear set. Preferred the shape and balance of No.1

YB (2) 1 Behan’s Pyatyi Element Jasmin at Tiblha (Imp Rus) 22 months old Black & Tan. Lovely shape stood. Good front and rear. Excellent top line and tail set. Excellent coat condition. Very attractive head. Good eyte shape and colour. Good pigment. Good front and feet. Well handled. Just needs to settle on the move to complete the picture. Lots to like. 2 Mothersdale’s Amivike’s I Am Raven. 13 months old White Bitch. Good shape stood. Good top line and tail set. Well off for bone and good feet. Good pigment. Attractive head. Good bite. Excellent ear set and shape. Another who needs to settle.

PGB (7) 1 Packer’s Burwen I’m A Press Secretary. 18 months old red bitch. Lovely shape. Excellent top line and tail set. Good front and rear. Correct front shoulder placement making for an excellent front. Excellent coat condition. Very attractive head. Excellent eye shape and colour. Good ear set. Good movement. Lovely bitch who just needs to continue maturing. 2 Bryan’s Demishstar Rihoko at Marilouvale (Imp RUS). 3 year old Red Bitch. Thicker set bitch. Good shape stood. Excellent top line and tail set. Good front. Good feet. Pretty head with excellent pigment. Excellent ear set and shape. Sadly losing her jacket. Just needs to settle on the move. Well handled by her young handler. Mid LB (4) 1 Bannister’s Janeryl’s Rebel Rebel 3 year old Black & Tan Bitch. Lovely shape stood. Excellent top line and tail set. Excellent coat condition. Loved her movement all ways. Well off for bone. Excellent feet. Very attractive head. Would like a better eye shape. Excellent pigment. Well handled. Lots to like. LB (7) 1 Bryan’s Shiomaru Aurora Beautiful Soul at Marilouvale (Imp RUS). 3 year old Red Bitch. No denying what breed she is as she screams Shiba type. Super shape both stood and on the move. Excellent top line and tail set. Very attractive head with a beautiful expression. Excellent eye shape. Correct ear shape and set. Correct front. Movement was good all ways. Starting to lose her jacket but that didn’t detract from her quality. Delighted to award her the BCC, her first I’m told and Reserve Best In Show. I’m sure the other two cc’s won’t be far away 2 Packer’s Burwen Touched By An Angel. 3 year Old Red Bitch. Lovely shape and profile. Excellent top line. Excels on the move. Very attractive head with a good eye shape and colour. Excellent front and good feet. Excellently presented and handled. Excellent coat condition. Shown in excellent physical condition. Feminine head. Excellent eye shape. Good muzzle length and bite. Good front and rear. Very pretty head. Excellent ear shape and set. Excellent coat condition. Excellent pigment for coat colour. Well handled.
